Coaching is an interactive talking experience where together we discover your goals, values and passions, and use them to help you focus in the direction you really want. We may discuss barriers that are holding you back and how we can create a new perspective to allow you to move forward. You will be encouraged to learn and practice new exercises and strategies that will help you to take positive action in your life and your coach will be your accountability partner on your journey.
All sessions are online, through Zoom and last around an hour. Most clients are seen on a weekly basis, but some attend sessions every two weeks, or even monthly.
100%. What happens in our sessions stays in our sessions, just like seeing a therapist. All Zoom sessions are recorded and a secure link will be sent to you within 48 hours after the session so that you can watch the replay to refresh your mind of the conversations and practice any exercises within the session.
The time that your coaching progress will take depends on the complexity of your goals, your commitment and openness to the process. 1-1 coaching can run for just a few sessions or for much longer periods, depending on the goals you want to achieve. There will be a limited amount of long term impact in just 1 session, and in order to start making changes in your life, the mindset needs space to change, you will need to learn new skills and this takes time to have a true impact. This may include some reading or practicing strategies and exercises in between sessions.
Coaching can happen over a longer period of time and for many people, a long term coach is what keeps people on track to achieving those bigger goals.
During the coaching process you will learn new things about yourself, your mindset may change and as a result, your goals may change. This is very common. Our goals do change as we grow and develop as humans, this can sometimes depend on our circumstances or environment. So you may wish to return to coaching again further down the line, everyone is different.
Some client's have described the coaches role as an accountability partner, knowing that they would not be able to commit to making changes without them.
The coach is there to help you discover what you really want to achieve by asking those deep thinking questions and helping you to work through them in a way so you have a greater understanding of how and why it is important for you to make successful changes. A coach will work with you to break down barriers that you may not even be aware you have that are stopping you from achieving your goals. You will also be taught new strategies and experience exercises you may not have tried before, it all depends on the goals you are looking to achieve. It may be relevant for the coach to share stories with you to bring about further understanding, however, the main focus is on you as the client. The coach will highlight ideas that are new to you, encourage you in the direction of your goals with the decisions and choices you make, always being down to you. A coach will support, encourage and always be open with you.
"Creating 'A Greater' Perspective" Podcast explores self development tips, asks the big questions we should be asking ourselves, along with interviews from other inspiring guests who have made changes in their lives.
Bespoke group coaching can be arranged where you work towards a team goal. This can include some training with exercises and frameworks, depending on what your groups focus may be.
